Top 10 Pictures from the Carondelet House

We’ve had the privilege of photographing at this venue quite a few times. The 1938 Carondolet House event venue is one of a kind; exposed brick, beam ceilings, hardwood floors, and refurbished furniture. Here are a few reasons why this venue is so rad for photographers and couples tying the knot.

Helpful. The one and HUGE thing that stands out for us, is the staff. We can’t say enough great things about how solid and helpful they are. This is a huge tell of a great venue; when the staff goes out of their way to help us in anyway possible. They truly care about making each wedding perfect and unique, which is unfortunately rare.

Versatile. We have seen a few different uses for each area. Dinner, dancing, ceremony. Almost every time we shoot here, the venue is set up in a different and unique way, and it all works well.

Great Light. Endless wonderful window light spills onto the restored antique furniture. The courtyards block direct light, and really shine during the golden hour.

Getting Ready. The bridal suite is large and spacious. This room is prepped and camera ready. There is a skylight that spills in wonderful soft light. Beautiful velvety couches, and a detailed antique changing screen.

Usability. Parking is incredibly convenient, as there is a structure located immediately next door. At the weddings we’ve photographed, they have all had a door security guard, who have all been equally pleasant. The surrounding area, at first glance might not seem very photographic, but there are endless possibilities with a nearby theatre marquee, dark wood doors, and the LA skyline. The venue itself has tons of character. It doesn’t need much decor, as it is great on it’s own.
