I worked with Jon for quite a while, and met Liz through Jon quite a while back as well. Its so nice to shoot a couple who I am close to. Jon is a great guy, the type of person who genuinely cares and will always be a good friend. His ambition in life is inspiring as well. Liz might be the smartest person I know, having gone to school in Cambridge, and now teaching at UCI….which would normally be a bit intimidating if it wasn’t for how incredibly kind and welcoming she is. She’s one of those rare people who will sit down with someone and actually listen, not to pass the time but because she earnestly cares. I LOVE to hang out with these two. So when they got engaged I was all too excited to shoot them smoochin’ up a storm. I know what kind of depth they share, and I knew I would get great images. I love shooting couples, especially ones so in love such as these two…to me this is better than having two models, because models can go into a situation and put on a fake look and “wahla” great fake pictures, but its that pure truthful depth I am after, and that you cannot fake. Jon and Liz I couldn’t be happier for you both, and I can’t wait for your big day. enjoy…..

One of my most favorite hobbies, besides picture taking, is spinning hard on the wheels of steel….the 1’s and 2’s, otherwise known as dj’ing. I got to spin at a friend of a friend’s wedding, which was a nice breath of fresh air. So nice to not have to hear all of the thick cheese being played at some weddings these days (ie: there was no cha-cha slide). I couldn’t help but grab a few shots, especially during the planned father daughter dance which started a few seconds of ‘butterfly kisses’, then slammed into ‘sweet child of mine’ which really got a fun rise out of her dad. It was a great day, Michelle and her husband were awesome, and it was an honor to be a part…..

These two are awesome. Fun, goofy, in love….my kind of couple. We had a blast running around the beach. I left them, remembering how much I just love to take pictures, period. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in November, its going to be out of pocket. Take a look….

I had the rare and unique pleasure of photographing my cousins wedding in Watsonville, CA. It was quite amazing, the reception and getting ready happened at an absolutely beautiful old renovated house, which happened to be the home of the famous writer John Steinbeck! It was beautiful to be around so many people who hold family in such high value, there was no lack of love and emotion on this day! Brian, your an amazing man and and your family is wonderful. Some really fun and great images came from that day. enjoy:
