We started the day quite early in the morning, and we got to witness a tea ceremony followed by a traditional vietnamese ceremony. It was so wonderful to be a part of such rich culture and tradition, I absolutely loved it. The ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. We grabbed some really great images from this wedding, enjoy.

These two were a blast to shoot. This wedding marked a few firsts for me, 1. grand entrance involving bride being wheeled in 2. main course being catered by, my favorite, IN-N-OUT!

I was personally impressed with the reception, they put so much work into making it amazing and beautiful! The day was amazing, and these two make for an amazing couple, I say this so much but, I LOVE MY JOB!

Finally I get to do a true winery wedding at a real vineyard, and it was amazing! It was quite a scorcher of a day, but soon enough the sun would fade and the wind would pick up, which is exactly when I was able to take these two out to the vineyard for some alone time to watch the sunset (and shoot of course). It was absolutely beautiful, and they were so much fun! I was getting really excited knowing that I was shooting some amazing images. Take a peek! I wish you both all the best!

I’ve recently started shooting film again outside of the weddings I shoot, and I’ve forgotten how much I love film, the grain and personality of the image is above and beyond digital. However, there’s much to be said about the digital photography realm. I love that the creative process doesn’t end after shooting the image, with digital, photoshop can be such a beautiful thing when used correctly to further express the emotion of an image. After shooting film so much these last few months, it’s interesting to see how it has affected my digital approach. I love them both, and it’s impossible to argue whole-heartedly on either side, so I say do both! Great photography is just that, no matter the medium. Here’s a digital image from a recent engagement session I did which has been inspired from my recent film shooting….
