28 Aug Megan + Chris…pure…rad….love

Those are the three words that come to mind when I think about these two. This was one of those unique weddings that couldn’t go wrong if it tried. She put her heart and soul into every detail of the wedding: polaroid photobooth, hand painted signs, table decorations, pretty much everything. It was wonderful because it exuded who they were. I can’t say enough about this day, starting from the unique Hollywood Dolls Salon in San Pedro, to the beautiful ceremony filled with unique traditions in a grassy meadow, and finally ending in a wonderful reception with music from a dj playing real vinyl. Megan and Chris are so ridiculously in love and just wonderful people, I absolutely adored having the honor of taking part. I could write a flippin’ novel….dig it:
p.s. – i’ve been working hard and have a new website about to be unveiled, as you can see there’s a new logo as well.

09 Aug Haviland + Matthew

Setting: pacific palisades + Characters: two radical people in love + Guests: close family and friends = amaaaazing! Outdoors, at a beautiful huge home…it was wonderful. The tables were named after all the different names he has for her, which was something I hadn’t seen before…pretty freakin’ cute if you ask me. Her father’s speech made me embarrassingly wipe a tear away from my eye, there was a whole heck load of love happening on that day. Thank you both for letting me be a part…..

I thought the floating initials were a nice touch.

15 Jul Megan + Chris: LA Smooch Sess

We drove up to L.A. to capture this fun little duo. We met them at one of their favorite streets Abbot Kinney in Venice, and ran around like little kids. Might be one of my most favorite engagement sessions I’ve ever done, and it absolutely yielded some amazing pictures. Believe you me, a few of these are going up on the website for sure. I’m now even more giddy about shooting their wedding in August, I’m ridiculous I’ve decided…enough with the loco talk, on with the pretty photo-picture-graphs….

After processing this image it is by far one of my favorites I’ve taken this entire year, there is such a well of unedited love and emotion, to me it is the definition of beautiful.

A great wedding at the oh so wonderful Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. So fun! I’ve found that I have become quite opinionated when it comes to dresses, even to the point of accidentally watching entire episodes of “say yes to the dress” (but we’ll just keep that between you and me)..whatever the case, I LOVED her dress, so simple and so beautiful!

I love this moment quite mucho! A perfect and deep framing of how much these two love each other. LOVE IT!
